Apply to the Welding Technology Program

The Welding Technology Program is a two-semester program and accepts 46 students beginning each Fall and 23 each Spring semesters. Interested students must complete a Welding Technology application to be placed on the program list. There are prerequisites to the program that must be completed before you can be accepted. Prerequisites are listed in Things for You to Know and Things You Need to Do and on the Welding Technology application.

Follow the steps below to get on the waitlist.

1. All applicants must have a Butte College ID number. If you do not have one, Apply here to become a Butte College student.
2. Read Things for You to Know and Things You Need to Do.
3. Complete the Welding Technology application.
4. All applicants must have a 45-minute face-to-face meeting. Please call (530)895-2501 or stop by WM 107 to schedule an appointment.
5. Complete Butte College Orientation.
